If you do not have a secondary mobile device or choose not to use it, there are desktop authenticators that are available for multi-factor authentication (MFA) like the authenticator.cc extension.
Must know:
- Each user on your Worldline merchant account must enroll in MFA on the Worldline portal.
- We do not recommend the use of desktop authenticators for MFA, because using a secondary device to secure your data is the best practice for MFA.
Step 1: Install Authenticator.CC Extension
- Open Your Browser – Use Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Enter the URL “Authenticator.cc” in the search bar and press Enter.
- Click Add to Chrome
4. Click Add Extension to confirm.
Step 2: Access the Extension
- Open Authenticator.cc – Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of your browser.
- When you install Authenticator Extension in Chrome, pin its icon to the toolbar
Step 3: Manually Add a QR Code
- Login into your Worldline merchant account
- Click on the puzzle piece in the top-right corner of your browser and select Authenticator.cc icon from your extensions bar.
- Click the pencil icon in the top left corner of the authenticator then select the + Add Account button.
- Select Manual Entry :
- Enter the Details – Fill in:
- Issuer – Worldline
- Secret Key – Paste the secret key provided on your Worldline portal. ( The secret key can be found next to the QR code on your Worldline Portal).
- Save – Click Save to finish.
Good to know:
- When you log into our Worldline portal, you will need to open the Authenticator.cc extension to view the 6-digit code.
- It is important to complete the add account step right after you login on your merchant portal as the code expire after a limited time.
- Can’t add the secret key: Double-check for typos or extra spaces when copying and pasting the secret key.
