Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enhances security by requiring users to supply additional information to support their login attempts.
Must know:
-
Each user on your Worldline merchant account must enroll in MFA on the Worldline portal.
-
You will need to have your mobile device to enroll in MFA.
-
You will use an authenticator application on your mobile device. We recommend Microsoft Authenticator however, you can enroll with any authenticator app that you currently use.
How do I enroll?
When you log into our Worldline portal, you will be presented the option to enroll in multifactor authentication. The enrollment screen will look like this when MFA has been enforced in our system. While it is still enabled (not enforced), there will be an option to skip enrollment.
Follow these steps when you have the enrollment screen:
- Get your mobile device.
- Download an authenticator application. We recommend Microsoft Authenticator. It is a free application.
- After it is downloaded, open the app.
- Click the add account button. It is a plus sign in the top right corner.
- Click Other (Google, Facebook, etc). This will open the app's QR code scanner.
- Use the app's scanner to hover over the QR code on the Worldline portal screen.
- Once your account has been added in the app, you will be provided a timed one-time password which is a six-digit number.
- Enter the six-digit number into the field provided in the Worldline portal.
- You are now enrolled!
You will need your login credentials (username and password) and a six-digit code from the authenticator app each time you log in. You can not use the same passcode that you enrolled with. You need to open the authenticator app and use the unique code each time.
