Checkout is able to accept payments from international credit cards automatically. However, any payment processed with Checkout will be in the currency that is linked to your account.
Your account can only have one currency setting, USD or CAD. If you require another currency, you will have to open an additional account.
Must know:
- International cards will automatically have the transaction amount converted to their local currency through the card-issuing bank (e.g. if $100.00 CAD is charged using a US credit card, then the cardholder would see the USD equivalent posted on their own credit card statement).
Good to know:
- Payments will never be restricted by Bambora based on the currency. However, it is important to understand that international payments often have additional security checks done by the card-issuing bank.
