How do I connect my shopping cart to Bambora?

One way to process payments through Bambora is to connect your shopping cart to our Payments API. When connecting to an API it is important to avoid illegitimate transactions; therefore, transaction requests made via our Payments API must include a form of authentication.

Authentication is how you sync up your software or shopping cart with Bambora. Once enabled, we will process transactions by validating the authentication and confirming the transactions are being sent from your shopping cart. Think of it as a secret handshake!

Must know:

  • If you do not integrate your shopping cart with Bambora correctly, your transactions will not reach your Bambora account, and you will receive an error message such as ‘Entered information cannot be authenticated’, ‘Call Help Desk’ or ‘Authentication Failed’.
  • Your shopping cart should be able to help with any integration questions.

 Good to know:

  • There are many plugins available online to help integrate your software or shopping cart with Bambora. These plugins are available through a third-party developer and not through Bambora directly. Any questions regarding your chosen plugin must go to the developer of the plugin directly.
  • Bambora North America does not use Secret Token. If you have downloaded a plugin that requires a ‘Secret Token,’ it will not be compatible with your account.
