Bambora issues one 9-digit merchant ID per currency. Developers must complete one full integration per ID. Transaction and security settings must be applied within the gateway account associated with the individual merchant ID.
Bambora has a website dedicated to developers, centred around our REST API. For more information, see the Developer Portal

Bambora’s Tokenization product is designed so merchants can store confidential customer payment data on Bambora’s secure servers. Customers sign up for accounts before making their first purchase. This process generates a secure alphanumeric token that is forwarded to the Bambora gateway at the time of payment in lieu of credit card information and other customer data.
- Each currency account is associated with a unique set of profiles. When setting up your system you must ensure that clients register under the correct currency account (by referencing the correct 9-digit merchant ID number).
- All security settings must be configured separately on each individual currency account.
- Security settings are specific to each individual account. If unique settings are required they must be configured on a per account basis
With Bambora’s batch processing tool, merchants can upload CSV files of customer data to the Bambora gateway; as a result, you can process an unlimited number of credit card transactions at a time.
For more information, see Batch Processing.
By default, the Bambora gateway returns all response messages in English. Most customer facing messages fall into a basic approved or declined category. More detailed merchant response messages are also returned through Bambora's Member Area and the Web Terminal.
